Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc.

The Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. (CAP) is an organization that equips its
members with the best risk financing tools to meet the business challenges of a medical
practice. We also sponsor an inter-indemnity arrangement for California physicians’
professional liability needs.

Established in 1975 under the California consumer cooperative statutes (Corporations
Code Section 12200, et. seq.), CAP is charged with providing various services relating
to the general and professional welfare of its membership, which is comprised exclusively
of California's finest physicians and surgeons.

CAP is governed by a board of 15 Directors, all of whom are physician-members.

Throughout its 32 year history, CAP has established itself as an organization that equips its members with the best risk financing tools to meet the business challenges of a medical practice, including access to its core product, Mutual Protection Trust (MPT) -- California’s superior choice for medical professional liability protection.
