In 1999, CAP and Norcal Mutual Insurance Company, Inc. co-founded Medical Risk Management Insurance Services, Inc. (MRMI) which specializes in providing physicians with business insurance products that cover risks not protected by medical professional liability coverage. These business-related insurance lines include business office packages, workers’ compensation, managed care liability, directors and officers’ liability, and billing fraud and abuse coverage.
